My Story

Melodyala, a Yellowknife raised, Calgary-based artist, who intertwines the storytelling of country, folk, pop and rock with such emotion

in her music. Her single, “Snowy Drive” is a story about persevering during tough times.  Her song a Band Called Goodbye is about getting back to a dream and not giving up.  She might inspire you and take you back to times of Linda Ronstadt, Dolly Parton, Joan Baez, Emmylou Harris, Cher, Bette Midler and many more of her favourite and influential artists throughout the years.    Her recordings have all been done with Mark Troyer of Evergreen Sound.    Her relatable style will bring easy and satisfying lyrics with emotion and  integrity.  What She Needs comes out October 16th, 2026.  This idyllic song is a recipe for family life and looking after someone who looks after the little ones.  If it were only that easy!!!  Beautiful in it’s simplicity like  a child’s drawing of their family or laying in the grass at a family picnic as clouds drift by.    Sometimes you have to dream…. What She Needs is available October 16, 2026 on all streaming Platforms.  Pre-save link is above!
